Hey Tonya!

We have Medicaid for Sonya and THANK GOD! That little one is super expensive! Haha! On a serious note though, when we applied for Medicaid we were given our 4 insurance options. We researched each one of them making sure that her major doctors accepted our choice. Luckily every one of them accepted our choice. The only trouble we ran into was with Sonya's Prosthetics and Orthotics team. Unfortunately for us my husbands company who provides our primary insurance opted out of prosthetics and orthotics coverage and the Prosthetics and Orthotics place did not accept our secondary insurance (Medicaid) thus leaving us with a $2,980.00 bill for Sonya's pretty pink, pretty damn expensive braces! Since I fought like heck with everyone over this I learned that if this type of situation should arrise you can always pay the bill, take the receipt and the denial claim from the primary insurance and then turn it into the secondary (Medicaid). We did this and are awaiting our reimbursement. :)
