The weeks continue….
These last few weeks have been jammed packed with things before the kids get ready to start school.
After we returned from NYC, we had to be in Deshler, Ohio for a family get together for my dad. Deshler is one of those towns that if you blink, you will most certainly miss it.
My uncle and his family came down from Ypsilanti to visit and the kids each had a good time playing with the pool and water slide.
One of the coolest aspects of being in Deshler is the fact that my dad’s girlfriend lives right next to railroad tracks. In typical families this would be undesirable, but for my family (dad in particular) this is a triple bonus. My father is in LOVE with trains. He drives then at work and when we were younger and we lived down the street from the tracks he ran, he would blow the whistle to let us know it was him, once for me, twice for my sister and three times for my brother.
The trains never fail to pass by Chris’s house. Every 30 to 45 minutes there is a train that passes and the kids line up on the grass and sit and watch. This day was the exception. No trains! We were highly disappointed!
So in the following week the Monroe County Fair was held and it is a sight to see. Called “Michigan Best County Fair” we went out there 3 separate times! OMG! One of the visits to the fair my mom, Aunt and Uncle came with us. That was nice because my mom just had hip replacement surgery a few months ago and she is doing wonderful!
The kids enjoyed the rides and animals, the exhibits which were ultra special this year because we found out have way through the week that Hannah had a picture entered into the “Best of Monroe Public Schools Art”. She placed 5th, which isn’t bad considering we didn’t know she had anything entered.
Now, in all honesty, she should of placed higher because another child did the exact same thing she did and was not as impressive…but I am biased. Still is very proud of herself as she should be!
Will and I also attended and an after the fair party which was a ton of fun! I got a cahnce to catch up with some old friend from school and enjoy my “Crystal Light”…
We also attended our 1st Family reunion this weekend, which was nice. My family has never really been close to the other family members, so it was nice to see them again and have them interact with the kids.
It’s been a busy few weeks to say the least. Now we have to start getting ready for all three kids to prepare for school! Is it that time of year already? Wow!

Looks like you all had some great fun! Love the slip and slide pic’s! My Zoe and her daddy always go on the hang glider ride when the fair comes to town! Love it! Wow! Did Knoah get a mowhawk? Too cute!!! Way to go Hannah on that beautiful artwork! Love the family pic’s too! Very nice that you could all get together! By the way, love the Gemini tat, I don’t know what I was thinking when I had the dragon permanently applied to my arm! Hmmm… I feel a cover up job coming! Hahaha!

I wanted to drop a quick line to say..thank you so much for creating this blog and for ur youtube videos of Knoah. Last year around this time when I found out my baby would be born with achondroplasia I started searching the for videos and information. I came across Knoah’s video…”What is normal.” I sat there and cried and cried not because I was sad but because of the comfort and joy I got from Knoah. My little guy is turning 1 in a couple weeks and it is so awesome. A few bumps in the road just as you had with Knoah but all is well now. He is truly a beautiful child,as well as your older two. Thanks again for sharing your family with us!!
