Way to go Knoah! He’s doing so well. You have a whole huge list of things Knoah CAN do, I wouldn’t worry about the fact that he’s delayed in language. I’ll bet he’s not even delayed. He’s just waiting until he can get out a really good sentence like “Mother, if it’s not too much trouble, I would like a glass of your finest apple juice.”
I took a look at the learning stool website. It looks awesome! Keep me updated on how that’s working out. I may get one too!

Knoah is doing awesome! He is too cute with his new underwear! I love the sippy cup conversation too!

Tonya,
Knoah is amazing-but we all know that-he is smart, cute and lovable! Don’t worry too much about the language as long as his hearing is ok and there is no fluid buildup. Preston really took off in the past few months. He spoke alot in the summer, but now it is full and complete sentences and he is going to be three! So don’t worry they all come around. There are moments I wish Pres would just “shut it.” LOL!

Sounds like Knoah has a mind of his own just like Caden … I am convinced these kido’s are smarter than we know! I love the ba, ba – sippy cup conversation. Of course mama knows the right answer, “just ask Knoah”!

Don’t “Sweat” it….(sorry, I couldn’t resist! ) Thomas didn’t talk until he was about 2. We were a little concerned and then one day, he just wouldn’t stop talking! Cute “big boy undies”!

Sarah – I found this chart at the University of Michigan Child Development http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/yourchild/devmile.htm, under 2 year. I use these as guidlelines for the second year of life. If there were any he hasn’t hit by age 3, I know we would need to focus on them. Knoah just graduated from PT and OT!!! We are now seeing a spech therapist during Early Intervention and she is helping move Knoah move along with signs and copy cat play. Hannah was slow with speaking too, I thought she would never talk, but Jacob had full sentences and could hold a conversation at 15 months! Will sounds like he is doing fine, he is just needing feel confident! Watch out, soon you won’t keep him quiet!!!

yes all children develop at their own rate. where did you find this chart? What it says about language skills seems like too many for his age. We see a speech therapist for Will on a regular basis and we see them for Kaela along with PT and OT and that just seems like it’s not quite right. He just turned 2! He’s doing GREAT!!! Kaela has a lot of words and understands a TON but she is way ahead of what Will was…I think boys can naturally be a little slower with language too from what I hear and see. Will just took off around 2.5. He had a lot of words and sentences but not a ton and then one day a few months ago he just took off with his language. I think Knoah is doing great and super cute of course I love how you thought to ask knoah where his cup is I’ve done that before too and say see s/he knows!!

knoal is doing brilliantly, such a clever boy. Isnt it amazing how our children work out how to get what they want, there is absolutely no stopping them! I love his new underwear. Knoahs speech will come in time – he is doing more than fern was at that age and now she is such a chatterbox.
