This is great! Almost 1100 of me! I added this to Facebook. My middle name is Noelle too! Spelled differently but still Noelle. I was supposed to be born on Christmas too so the same reasoning for the name. Super fun post Tonya!

Sawyer’s name came from my love of Mark Twain. Huckleberry Hutcherson doesn’t really work, though! Thomas is the name of almost every male relative, so we couldn’t use Thomas Sawyer…but we also love the show LOST and the Sawyer on there. So, we picked that! Franklin is his middle name, and that is for my dad and the three men before him.
Since I am a Jennifer, I wanted my child to have a more unique name. It was choosen after MUCH deliberation!

Hey this is Brandy. Bryan’s mom. I got his first name from his dad and his middle name came from my great-grandpa who was the most amazing man I know. Neither first or middle names are that different or unique but ment alot. Naming him after his dad was really important to me and i think the names went really well together.

Mine will be a little different. Alfred Leong Zhen Wen. A chinese name usually come with meaning. Leong is the family name, a surname of one family. Chinese family name are written first. Our children have to inherit the father’s family name. Zhen mean to be a strong person while Wen mean educated. The name was based on the no of strokes of the chinese character names when the Zhen and Wen combined in relation to his birth time. Alfred is a name we got from a baby name book. We name him Alfred when he was 4 months old.

Destini – That’s funny!! I once went out to eat and signed my name TMSweat. Well the guy came back and kneeled down (hitting on me ) and said….What follows is the GREATEST hit on line in the world…..”You signed your name I’M Sweet” I know you are, but I need you signature.” I swear, I just about fell over!!!

Taylor Nicole: Taylor is named after John’s father, who passed away before we even met. Nicole is my sister’s middle name.

Trace Robert: Trace because I wanted a “t” name and since our last name is Davis, it had to be different. Robert is my father’s name.

I was really hung up on what rhymed with their names and ensuring their initials weren’t too bad to be made fun of – of course, I guess I didn’t realize that Trace’s initials, TRD, could be pronouced “Terd”, but thanks to my cousin, I know that now. Oh, well, I still like his name

Seamus was a name I first heard at age 8, when my youngest sister was in Pre-K and had an adorable classmate with thet name. I always loved it and have had it stuck in my head since then! (Luckily, my hubby loved it too!) I also wanted to honor my Irish heritage. His middle name is John, after my father.
Grace is named after my grandmother, who passed away in 2004. Her middle name, Maureen, is after my aunt and godmother. I really love using family names! Although I am stumped if we have another baby

My husband is a cop and he loves his Ruger gun, and we wanted something different, so that’s how we came up with Ruger (I’m not sure I enjoy telling that story, I’d like it to be a little more symbolic or special, but that’s the truth.)
And then when we got pregnant with our second we were watching Bridge to Teribithia and we started going through old storybook names. We got to Huck and Finn and then settled on Sawyer. It’s really fit him well. And now we have the “-er” theme going at the end so were thinking of sticking with that!
That’s awesome that there’s only one Knoah! I think that’s very clever on your part!

Fun post! Simon David was a name that we have just liked for a long time, and we too like Hebrew, Biblical names (Simon Peter and King David). Simon means to hear or be heard and David means beloved.

I wanted names for the children that werent the most popular and that were short so that they wouldnt be shortened. Leo Oliver was a suggestion from the midwife whilst i was having a painful contraction. it took us 6 days to make the final decision. i have no idea why we chose Oliver..we both just liked it. (His name occasionaly get s shortened to LEE and was the 6th most common name that year after not being in the top 100 in previous years). Fern is the name of a morning TV presenter that always makes me laugh and i thought was pretty and wasnt in the top 100 list! Bob wanted Erin so that is her second name. there is another girl in our village who will be in the same year as her at school called fern who also has blonde hair and blue eyes so not unique! I have asked that she be known as fern s or ferne and not little fern at the nursery!
